Profile Information: This includes your profile image, banner image, company logo, bio, and any other information you add to your profile.

Bounty & Deal Information: We collect information related to bounties you post or apply to, including product descriptions, customer profiles, deal progress, and communications conducted through the platform.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. Stripe may collect and store this information in accordance with their own privacy policy.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the First Dollar platform.
To process transactions and send related information (confirmations, receipts, invoices).
To send transactional emails about your account, bounties, deals, and applications.
To facilitate communication between founders and hunters through the platform.
To enforce our Terms & Conditions and protect against fraud.
To resolve disputes between users.

3. Identity Protection

A core feature of First Dollar is identity masking. Founder identities (including company name, email, and personal details) are hidden from hunters until escrow is locked on a bounty. Auto-generated usernames are used to protect real identities during the browsing and application phases.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following cases:

With other users: Certain profile information is shared with other users as part of the platform's functionality (e.g., bounty details visible to hunters, hunter applications visible to founders).
With service providers: We use third-party services including Stripe (payments), Firebase (authentication and database), and Resend (email) to operate the platform. These providers only access your data as necessary to perform their services.
For legal compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
To protect rights: We may disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of First Dollar, our users, or the public.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Cloud (Firebase/Firestore) infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Cookies

We use a session cookie (__session) to maintain your authentication state. This cookie is essential for the platform to function and cannot be disabled while using our services. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
Delete your account and associated personal information.
Export your data in a portable format.

8. Data Retention

First Dollar is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child, we will take steps to delete that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the platform with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
